A Steam Sale Haiku

The following story is purely fictional and written for my own personal fun. No malicious intent is intended.

A Steam Sale Haiku

If you had one shot

One opportunity

To buy everything you never wanted

In one sale

Would you splurge on it

Or just let it slip

His palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms spaghetti

There’s Doritos on his keyboard already, Hot Pocket’s ready

He’s nervous, but on the surface he is calm and steady

To drop dollars, but he keeps on forgetting

What he wrote down, his mother’s credit card disallowed

He opens his Steam, but the sales aren’t yet out

He’s choking now, everybody’s spending now

The clock runs out, times up, yes, checkout

You gotta lose yourself in the Steam sales, the discounts

Flash sales, you better never let it go (go)

You only get one shot, do not disappoint our Gabe

Steam sales come once in a lifetime
